SO . . . YOU WANT A REVOLUTION?
The word revolution plants fear in many hearts. The very idea of a revolution, the act of throwing off existing authority in hopes of replacing it with something else,
causes nightmares for most politicians.
A country in revolt cannot be governed by the status quo. The citizens are tired of the form government they are living under and unify to toss it off. It is a common occurrence in many third world countries, but, I am talking about America.
Although America was founded on and by Revolutionaries in the form of our Founding Fathers, these days the only revolutions Americans picture are those in far off lands where dictators reign supreme. For an American to concede that America needs a revolution is unthinkable.
" We're all right," you'll hear, or, "for what?" Doubtful phrases from those who have been lied to for generations. After all, the last rebellion Americans can point to was the disastrous Civil War, which still rankles certain Americans.
"Do you want that again?"
No. That is not the kind of revolution we want.
This idea of revolution has been fomented by that infamous rabble-rouser and insurgent Candidate, Senator Bernie Sanders.
He has stated that his goal is to "transform America."
Progressives see him as a saint. Conservatives see him as the Devil Himself.
Bernie Sanders does not advocate Molotov cocktails and bricks, but a more peaceful and Democratic approach. By voting out those Senators and Representatives who work against the interest of the people, and replacing them with progressives, a quiet, legal and peaceful takeover of the American government. With Senator Sanders in the position of President, pushing for a progressive agenda, most of the Senator's expansive political platform would be less problematic to enact.
THE WRENCH IN THE WORKS
The Democratic National Committe (DNC) had their hearts (and their money) on Hillary Clinton for the Presidential nomination in 2016. One candidate too run against one other candidate in a standard one on one American election.
However, the playing field expanded, especially on the Republican side to include 13 prospective POTUS candidates. The Democratic side ended up with 4.
Before everyone jumped into the contest, like a sack race at a family picnic, the favored idea was Jeb Bush vs.Hillary Clinton, with Ms. Clinton taking an easy win.
Nobody counted on Bernie Sanders.
Now, the Democratic field had Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders, John Kusinich, and Jim O'Mally.
Senator Sanders, an Independent from Vermont, upset the entire political scene. His message to the American public, that if they were tired of low wages for long hours, if they wanted to be able to send their kids to college, if they wanted Universal Healthcare, they could get it if they joined as one and demanded these things from Congress made sense tho jobless, hopeless, Americans.
The American public listened, but, here's the catch. Unless you were on the Internet, you hardly knew who Bernie Sanders was, or what his policies were. The Main Steam Media, (MSM)
Almost completely blocked the Senator out. It continued until he became a force not to be ignored. Senator Sanders was pulling in crowds of between 10 to 27,000 people at his rallies across the nation. He also had unprecedented international support.
On the Republican side, candidates included Chris Christy, Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz, Jeb Bush, John Kasich, Been Carson, Jim Gilmore, Carly Fiorina, Rick Santorum, Rand Paul, Mike Hukabee and Donald Trump.
Mr. Trump insulted, embarrassed and bullied his way to being the Republican nominee. He also held rallies in which he excited right wing ideology to a fever pitch, adding in some fascism for flavor. This upset liberals and progressives alike and comparisons to Adolph Hitler would be made to Mr.Trump. His bombastic style and hard line approach to immigrants fueled the fire of rascism.
On the Democratic side, Kucinich and O'Malley soon fell too poor poll numbers and only Senator Sanders and Hillary Clinton remained.
Sanders' poll numbers were like a slow burning fire that started low and soon flared to match, or stay, slightly beneath Ms. Clinton.
This completely upset the DNC and they set about correcting the issue.
Senator Sanders received unprecedented international support.
